Who we are

Telos Circle is a community of forward-thinking individuals united by a shared commitment to tackling significant challenges in healthcare, science, and society. Our members span across medicine, research, technology, entrepreneurship, and various other disciplines, bringing diverse perspectives to complex problems.

We provide a supportive environment where members feel welcome to express unconventional thoughts and where interdisciplinary discussions lead to new insights. Our community includes medical students, experienced professors, researchers, entrepreneurs, and professionals—all seeking to learn from each other and collaborate across traditional field divides.

What distinguishes us is our dedication to thinking 15 years ahead, embracing both ambitious ideas and the human connections that make meaningful innovation possible.

Our Mission & Approach

Our mission is to empower and connect diverse changemakers—from students to professors, clinicians to technologists—creating a catalyst for bold ideas that address significant challenges in healthcare and beyond.

We achieve this through:

  1. Knowledge Exchange: Regular events featuring expert talks, panel discussions, and interactive workshops on topics like AI in medicine, longevity research, and emerging technologies.

  2. Collaborative Projects: Facilitating partnerships that translate innovative ideas into tangible research initiatives, startups, or community impacts.

  3. Skill Development: Providing members with opportunities to develop leadership abilities, strategic thinking, and cross-disciplinary communication skills.

  4. Community Building: Fostering an environment where intellectual honesty shapes discussions, where long-term thinking guides innovation, and where members develop from engaged participants to active contributors.

Through thoughtful collaboration, we aim to help our members maximize their positive influence on research, healthcare, technology, and broader society—making the journey from ideas to meaningful impact.

Our Values

  1. Openness & Humility
We welcome all disciplines and perspectives – from human medicine to quantum physics. Only through diversity and respect do we learn to think and pursue radically new paths. We create a "non-judging" environment where ideas can be freely shared.

  2. Intellectual Honesty (Rationality)
We confront the big questions and critically examine our beliefs. We strive for fact and data-based argumentation and avoid wishful thinking. We promote "out of the box thinking" and encourage exploration of unconventional ideas.

  3. Striving for Maximum Impact
We think big, ambitiously, and practically. Our focus is on real societal or scientific output (startups, pilot projects, patents, publications). We motivate members to evolve from passive consumers to active contributors.

  4. Collaborative Spirit
Collaboration instead of competition. Driven by curiosity and teamwork, we aim to pioneer in highly innovative fields. We foster synergistic relationships and cooperation between different disciplines and areas of expertise.

  5. Honesty & Integrity
Transparency, mutual trust, and ethical responsibility form the foundation of our Circle. These values are more important than short-term successes.

  6. Long-term Perspective
We look at least 15 years ahead ("Think 15 years ahead"). Topics such as artificial intelligence, artificial wombs, longevity, synthetic biology, or space medicine are not just touched upon superficially, but considered holistically and interdisciplinarily. We encourage long-term and strategic thinking.

  7. Ethical Research
Our goal is to conduct research that altruistically benefits all of humanity. Therefore, ethical correctness has the highest priority in all our projects. We strive to address and solve major problems.

  8. Political Independence
Partisan lobbying or advertising is prohibited. In discussions on topics with political dimensions (e.g., AI regulation, bioethics), we commit to fact-based, balanced considerations that take into account different perspectives and are not guided by partisan interests. The goal is to create a space for objective, evidence-based discourse that promotes intellectual freedom, openness, and innovation.

  9. Leadership Development
We foster leadership qualities in our members and support them in developing their potential and taking on leadership roles in their respective fields.

  10. Lifelong Learning
We promote inspiration and lifelong learning, especially in areas that go beyond conventional curricula. We provide access to knowledge and methods that are often neglected in traditional education systems.
